New Wave Foods Crispy ‘Shrimp’ Banh Mi

- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 lb. New Wave Crispy Shrimp
- Juice of 1 lime
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 4 demi baguettes
- Basil Lime Aioli
- Crunchy Cabbage Slaw
- Quick Pickled Red Onion
- 1/2 cup peanuts, chopped
Instructions
- Warm the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
- Add the “shrimp” and sauté on one side for about 2 minutes, or until golden brown. Flip and cook for 1 more minute.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F. Cut a lengthwise slit in each demi baguette and place on a baking sheet. Toast in the oven for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Spread some Basil Lime Aioli onto each demi baguette and add 1/4 of the cooked shrimp. Top with Crunchy Cabbage Slaw, Quick Pickled Red Onion, and chopped peanuts.
Pro tip: Instead of a baguette, you can serve the sandwich on a hot dog bun or sandwich roll.
