Please see the following statement from PETA Senior Vice President Kathy Guillermo regarding the decision of Chicago-based AELF FlightService to exit the bloody monkey transportation business, ending a two-year campaign that included federal complaints and numerous demonstrations and culminated in thousands of e-mails and phone calls from dedicated PETA supporters:

PETA supporters cranked up the cabin air pressure on AELF FlightService, besieging the company with tens of thousands of e-mails and phone calls. We’re celebrating this tremendous victory for animals, and we’ll continue our work to end all transport of endangered monkeys for pointless experiments.

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to experiment on”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kits for people who need a lesson in kindness. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow the group on X, Facebook, or Instagram.
