Update: ‘Chicken’ to Give Away Vegan Wings Beside PETA Billboard

In celebration of PETA’s “Let Them Keep Their Damn Wings” chicken billboard, which just went up outside Wingstop, PETA’s “chicken” mascot will lead a giveaway of delicious vegan wings from local restaurant Market on South—plus booklets of vegan Super Bowl recipes—tomorrow, right next to the billboard.

When: Thursday, February 4, 12 noon

Where: Wingstop, 2911 E. Colonial Dr. (at the intersection with Primrose Dr.), Orlando

“A platter of sauce-smothered vegan wings is the perfect way to kick off any Super Bowl party,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “PETA is eager to help football fans celebrate the big game with delicious snacks that leave gentle birds in peace.”

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat” and which opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview—offers free vegan starter kits as well as lists of ready-to-heat wings available at grocery stores and easy vegan game-day recipes on its website.
