The Toronto Blue Jays’ stadium has hit a home run for animals—and PETA is taking notice. The group just named Rogers Centre one of North America’s most vegan-friendly ballparks, thanks to its many animal-friendly twists on classic stadium fare, including deliciously craveable “steak tip” tacos, veggie dogs, hearty bowls and wraps loaded with veggies and plant-based beef, vegan poutine, and more.
“From meat-free steak tacos and mouthwatering veggie dogs to vegan poutine, the Rogers Centre’s animal-friendly offerings will have Blue Jays fans rooting for more,” says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk. “All the stadiums on PETA’s list are knocking it out of the park with food that leaves animals in peace—not in pieces.”
Other top ballparks recognized by PETA include the Atlanta Braves’ Truist Park, the Chicago White Sox’s Guaranteed Rate Field, the Colorado Rockies’ Coors Field, the New York Mets’ Citi Field, the New York Yankees’ Yankee Stadium, the Philadelphia Phillies’ Citizens Bank Park, the San Francisco Giants’ Oracle Park, the Seattle Mariners’ T-Mobile Park, the Texas Rangers’ Globe Life Field, and the Washington Nationals’ Nationals Park.
Every person who goes vegan spares nearly 200 animals each year daily suffering and a terrifying death and reduces their own risk of developing heart disease and cancer. PETA’s free vegan starter kit can help those looking to make the switch.
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—points out that Every Animal Is Someone and offers free Empathy Kits for people who need a lesson in kindness. For more information, please visit PETA.org or follow the group on X, Facebook, or Instagram.
