PETA’s first-ever Vegan Fashion Shop-Up in Los Angeles this past weekendwas a smash success, with more than 400 shoppers—including PETA celebrity pals Elaine Hendrix, Victoria Summer, and Dr. Drew co-host Samantha Schacher—hitting up the free event to check out Echo Park’s fashion event of the summer.

“PETA’s motto includes ‘animals are not ours to wear,’ and the merchandise at our first shop-up was just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to the chic cruelty-free clothing and accessories available today,” says PETA vegan-fashion coordinator Christina Sewell. “Shoppers left with a renewed pride and enthusiasm for building kind wardrobes and encouraging others in the fashion industry to do the same.”
Visitors enjoyed meeting dozens of cruelty-free designers, including PETA’s 2014 Most Influential Designer, Leanne Mai-ly Hilgart—the first all-vegan designer to show at New York Fashion Week—and Stephanie Nicora, who was named PETA’s 2014 Most Talented New Designer.
