For urging fans to adopt from animal shelters, promoting vegan clothing and cruelty-free products, and advocating for food justice, Millie Bobby Brown, Madelyn Cline, Katy Perry, and Ashley Jackson are winners of peta2’s 2023 Libby Awards. “Libby” is short for “liberation,” and each year peta2—part of PETA’s youth division—presents the awards to individuals, brands, and products that go above and beyond for animals. Honorees include the following:

  • Millie Bobby Brown won two Libby Awards: Favorite Celeb Cruelty-Free Beauty Brand for Florence by Mills—her vegan line of makeup and other products that aren’t tested on animals—and Pawsome Animal Adoption Advocate for adopting her dog, Pepperoni, and continually encouraging her followers to visit their local animal shelter to give a companion animal a loving home.
  • Madelyn Cline won Best Viral Moment for Animals for promoting vegan leather and sustainable fashion through her collaboration with Stella McCartney.
  • Katy Perry’s designer shoe brand, Katy Perry Collections, won Favorite Celeb Vegan Brand for its unique, colorful, and animal-friendly styles.
  • Ashley Jackson, daughter of the Rev. Jesse Jackson, won Favorite PETA Collab for standing up for animal and human rights with her campaign for food justice.

“These animal allies are making a difference every day just by promoting delicious vegan food and trendy vegan products and adopting from animal shelters,” says peta2 Senior Director Rachelle Owen. “peta2 encourages everyone to follow in their compassionate footsteps by keeping animals off their plates and out of their shopping carts.”

Libby Award winners will receive a personalized certificate from peta2 and a year’s worth of bragging rights. Other 2023 nominees include Kourtney Kardashian, Wiz Khalifa, Billie Eilish, Halle Bailey, Selena Gomez, and Ariana Grande.

peta2—whose motto reads, “Animals are not ours to experiment on, eat, wear, use for entertainment, or abuse in any other way”—opposes speciesism, a human-supremacist worldview. For more information, please visit peta2.org or follow the group on TikTok or Instagram.
