As attendees of the Republican National Convention wear ear bandages to show solidarity with former President Donald J. Trump after his ear was grazed by a bullet in an attempt on his life, PETA is launching a new sticker to add another degree of empathy to the display. PETA’s sticker, which is sized just right and reads, “No One Deserves Cropped Ears,” refers to the practice of ear cropping—a painful mutilation that involves slicing off parts of dogs’ ears—a purely cosmetic procedure with no medical value that’s performed on pit bulls, Great Danes, Dobermans, and other breeds, all for a particular “devilish” look.
“No one deserves to have their ears disfigured against their will, including our beloved dogs, who should be treated as the living, feeling beings they are, not as fashion accessories,” says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk. “PETA’s anti-ear cropping sticker will help Trump supporters who also love their dogs spread a strong message: Attacks on someone’s body are foul play!”
The stickers are available in sets of five for $4.99 in the PETA Shop.
