We have a family of mice living in our attic. I want them out, but I don’t want to kill them. Help!

I’ve been there! When rats moved into my attic, I set up motion-sensor cameras to find their entry points. Once I could see how and when they were coming and going, I waited for them to leave at their usual time and sealed the holes. Presto! You can also use humane live traps baited with peanut butter and escort visitors back outside – but check the traps every hour, since being ensnared panics animals half to death! Whatever you do, please never use poisons or hideous glue traps. We may not want to share our homes with mice and rats, but there’s no need to take a Wild West approach.

It’s my turn to host our family’s holiday feast this year. I want to serve a vegan meal that will appeal to even cranky meat-eaters. Suggestions?
