Meet your new favorite vegan desert boots:
PETA and our friends at sustainable vegan Portuguese shoe company nae (No Animal Exploitation) worked together to create these NAE x PETA boots to embody the ethos that we share: enjoying a life free from harming humans, other animals, or the planet.
Our NAE x PETA Unisex Organic and Vegan Goodyear Welted Desert Boots are 100% organic and eco-friendly. The upper, lining, and laces are made from organic cotton, which uses about 46% less water than conventional cotton. The sole is made from natural rubber extracted from Hevea trees, and the footbed is comprised of coco fiber, rubber, and cork, which is antimicrobial. Natural dyes make each pair unique, and every shoe is handmade in Portugal in a fair work environment.
nae uses the Goodyear welting method, one of the most durable methods of shoe construction, making them long-lasting and easy to repair. They’re a beautiful and kind alternative to suede—animal skin that requires huge amounts of dangerous chemicals in processing.
As a PETA Business Friend, nae consistently supports our vital mission to stop cruelty to animals, and the company designed a special logo for our first collaboration, which it printed on the recyclable box and on the shoe’s footbed.
In addition to its constant support of PETA, the company is donating another $5 for each pair sold straight to us. So choose your favorite color—black or sandy green (or just get them both)—and order yours at PETA.org/Boot while these limited-edition beauties are still available.
