Looking for Vegan Nutella? Try These Kind Options

Published by PETA Staff.

Who can resist the perfect combination of chocolate and hazelnuts? The answer is no one. Unfortunately, Nutella contains whey and skim milk, which means it’s unkind to bovines. While the Ferrero brand launched a vegan version—Nutella Plant-Based—in Europe, this product has yet to make its way across the Atlantic to grocery store shelves in the U.S. Nutella Plant-Based is made with chickpeas and rice syrup instead of dairy stolen from cows.

But don’t worry. For now, there are plenty of chocolaty vegan spreads on the market that are just as yummy as they are kind to cows:

Chosen Foods Chocolate Hazelnut Spread
