Taco Bell has long been a go-to spot for vegans, and now it’s majorly stepping up its game. We’ve been hacking the Crunchwrap for years, but now the beloved Tex-Mex chain is testing a new Vegan Crunchwrap, which comes complete with cow-friendly beef, vegan nacho sauce, and dairy-free sour cream! The exciting new addition is available at these three locations, starting on June 8:
- 6741 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood, CA 90028
- 976 Sixth Ave., New York, NY 10018
- 11893 E. Colonial Dr., Orlando, FL 32826
The offering is available as long as supplies last, so if you’re near any of these locations, go grab yours and show the chain that you want the option to roll out nationwide.
Taco Bell has tested other exciting vegan options in the past. Most recently, it developed a cow-friendly steak in collaboration with Beyond Meat. The Beyond Carne Asada Steak was tested at 50 locations in the Dayton, Ohio, area and could be ordered in any menu item instead of animal flesh at no additional charge.
The chain also tested its new proprietary vegan beef (which is featured in the Vegan Crunchwrap) at several locations in 2021. Both of these delicious meat-free options—which are indistinguishable from Taco Bell’s traditional ground beef and marinated steak options—spared the lives of many cows.
Taco Bell also tested a meatless Naked Chicken Chalupa shell later that same year, which helped spare chickens who are killed for their flesh.
