October is World Vegetarian Month, and to celebrate, the Hard Rock Cafe just released a new, entirely meat-free menu with vegan options at 42 restaurant locations nationwide. The decision to do so was based on high customer demand for vegan fare. The senior director of marketing for Hard Rock Cafe International, Inc., said, “Today, consumers are more demanding than ever. They want variety and shareable, immersive dining experiences, and we’ve seen more and more of our U.S. based guests looking for meatless options while dining out.”
The vegan options on the menu include a Fennel, Beet & Orange Salad that’s tossed in a garlic, lime, and cumin vinaigrette and a Pico de Gallo Quinoa Arugula Salad that’s tossed in a citrus vinaigrette. (But be sure to ask for no feta cheese). The menu also features a new “mocktail” called the Wascally Wabbit, made with carrot, apple, and orange juice. Yum!
While the menu is currently for a limited time only, the response will hopefully encourage the Hard Rock Cafe to keep it year-round and to add even more vegan selections.
