HappyCow has named Berlin the number one city for vegans, and it’s pretty clear why: From vegan grocery store chain Veganz to an entire “vegan street” lined with yummy plant-based restaurants and vegan clothing shops, Berlin is brimming with compassion. Be sure to follow PETA on TripAdvisor for tips on ways you can be kind to animals when you travel.
We have to give some credit to PETA Germany for making compassion so cool. With offices in Berlin and Stuttgart, the group has made tireless efforts to help spread a cruelty-free message far and wide across the country.

Veganz Grocery Store
What could be more awesome than an entirely vegan grocery store? We can’t think of much. The Veganz chain has locations across Europe, including two in Berlin. (The Schivelbeiner Straße store is smack in the middle of Berlin’s “vegan district,” Prenzlauer Berg.)
For any Americans reading this, Veganz has reported that its products will be available in select U.S. grocery stores by late 2016, and it’s even promising to open stateside stores soon.
