Become a Spay/Neuter Volunteer: Are You Ready to Save Lives?
The Problem
It’s simple math: There are too many companion animals and not enough good adoptive homes. Many people breed animals intentionally or fail to prevent them from bringing unplanned litters into a world bursting at the seams with unwanted animals.
The Result
On any given day, an estimated 70 million homeless dogs and cats are struggling to survive on the streets, where they face dangers such as traffic, extreme temperatures, contagious diseases, parasites, and predators (including cruel humans).
The Solution
People like you are the solution! Animals need dedicated individuals to become spay/neuter volunteers. Does that sound challenging? We promise you that the reward will be far greater than you can imagine. Once you start making a difference, you won’t be able to stop—and animals will be safer and happier for it. Your next step? Get out there!
Spay/neuter volunteers take a hands-on approach in their communities by informing residents about spaying and neutering and proper animal care, providing “backyard dogs” with hands-on help, transporting animals to the veterinarian for spaying and neutering, watching out for neglect and cruelty, and much more.
