Catch Compassion at PETA’s Most Vegan-Friendly MLB Ballparks of 2024

Vegan baseball food in 2024 is more delicious than ever with so many options available at stadiums nationwide. These parks are going to bat for their compassionate visitors by offering everything from fan favorite veggie dogs to less commonly seen creations like dairy-free milkshakes, Oatly soft serve, and vegan cheesesteaks.

Choosing to support vegan options at Major League Baseball’s (MLB) biggest parks helps animals—because every animal is someone, not something, and not ours to use as we wish. Animals have their own desires and don’t want to be on your plate. It’s easy to help animals, the planet, and your personal health by ordering these vegan options the next time you’re at your favorite team’s ballpark.

Coors Field (Colorado Rockies)

Coors Field has Better-Off Burgers, a stand near Section 115, which serves vegan offerings that the ballpark’s food service company said cater to the diverse preferences of customers and align with its commitment to reducing “the greenhouse gas emissions associated with the food it serves.” It offers satisfying choices like cow-free cheeseburgers and dairy-free milkshakes, which help spare animals.

Cows are gentle, playful individuals who deserve our respect. Choosing a vegan ballpark meal instead of one made from cows’ flesh and mammary secretions is a simple action that helps prevent them from being exploited by the meat and dairy industries.

Citi Field (New York Mets)

In Section 105, you can find ballpark classics like Vegan City Nachos with jackfruit chili and dairy-free cheese fondue as well as Mushroom Tacos. For something sweet, try the plain Dole Whip (no swirl) in sections 135 and 417 and at the Piazza 31 Club.

Citizens Bank Park (Philadelphia Phillies)

Phillies fans will be happy to hear that they can get a vegan Philly cheesesteak from Campo’s in Ashburn Alley while watching a game at Citizens Bank Park. In addition, local chain Greens and Grains, with a spot in Section 125, serves vegan options, including a Gyro Pita sandwich and the new Buffalo Chk’n Ranch Hoagie.

Intelligent chickens are arguably the most abused animals on the planet and often spend their entire lives in filthy sheds with tens of thousands of other birds. When chickens are in their natural surroundings, they spend their days sunbathing, caring for their young, and playing with their flockmates. When you eat vegan, you help spare the lives of nearly 200 animals a year.

Truist Park (Atlanta Braves)

Atlanta’s famous vegan burger joint, Slutty Vegan, has a spot at Truist Park where you can find items like a meat-free cheesesteak, a vegan bratwurst loaded with sauerkraut and Slut Sauce on a pretzel bun, and chik’n tenders served on a bed of seasoned Slutty Fries. You can also get a veggie dog at the Smokey Q stand.

Yankee Stadium (New York Yankees)

At Yankee Stadium, choose from a plant-based burger, falafel from The Halal Guys (order it without the white sauce), or the Sweet Spot Bowl, which is available in Section 311 (order it without steak). You can also get an avocado roll and some edamame to snack on from Benihana in Section 127 or try the Blue Bunny Hand-Dipped Non-Dairy Frozen Dessert, which is available in sections 125 and 318.

Globe Life Field (Texas Rangers)

Globe Life Field, which has made our list several times in past years, still offers a solid selection of vegan items. Options include meat-free burgers, hot dogs, and bratwurst as well as vegan nachos with Credo Foods’ dairy-free cheese from the Visiting Vegan stand near Section 101. For a creamy cow-friendly treat, don’t forget to try some Oatly soft serve.

Oracle Park (San Francisco Giants)

One of MLB’s most beautiful ballparks also has a stunning selection of vegan food options. Offerings include a Field Roast Veggie Dog, animal-free burgers, chicken-friendly nuggets, vegan lumpia, and meat-free chili to warm you up during cold San Francisco summers. Snack options include hummus with pita and vegan dolmas.

T-Mobile Park (Seattle Mariners)

T-Mobile Park has the standard vegan hamburgers and sausage that we love but also offers fun alternatives like an acai bowl, tofu tots, and even a Vegetable & Mushroom Bun from Din Tai Fung. Before the end of the game, be sure to swing by the Salt & Straw stand for a scoop of Vegan Strawberry & Coconut Water Sherbet.

Guaranteed Rate Field (Chicago White Sox)

Guaranteed Rate Field hits it out of the park with the Plant-Based Chik’n Tender Basket featuring MorningStar Farms’ Incogmeato Chik’n Tenders, which is available in sections 130 and 510. It also offers animal-friendly burgers at Grill Stands and veggie dogs at Classics Stands as well as nachos topped with plant-based chorizo, which can be made vegan by holding the dairy, at Buenos Nachos.

Nationals Park (Washington Nationals)

At La Casita Pupuseria, pick up a Soy-Chicharrón pupusa with vegan cheese and marinated tofu. The vegan Quesadilla Crunch Wrap at Nats Snacks is also a great option, and the sweet crepes at Eli’s Crepes are a satisfying dessert (just confirm which toppings are vegan when you order).

Rogers Centre (Toronto Blue Jays)

Our neighbors to the north aren’t slacking when it comes to vegan options. Blue Jays fans and visitors can enjoy the Plant Based Wurst, a wrap or a bowl with vegan beef, and a “steak tip” taco with chips and pico de gallo. In addition, you can try the poutine, an animal-friendly version of the Canadian staple with crispy French fries and vegan gravy.

Note: Menu offerings are subject to availability and could change. Be sure to check for the most up-to-date listings at the concession stands.

What to Do if Your Favorite Ballpark Left Vegan Options on Base

If you’d like the vegan menu at your team’s stadium to be expanded, speak up and tell the concessionaires to play ball.
