Rev. Al to KFC: ‘That’s Foul’

KFC suppliers cram birds into huge waste-filled factories, breed and drug birds to grow so large that they can’t even walk, and often break their wings and legs. At slaughter, birds’ throats are cut, and they are dropped into tanks of scalding-hot water—often while they are still conscious. It would be illegal for KFC to abuse dogs, cats, pigs, or cows in these ways.

PETA and Sharpton want KFC to end this horrific cruelty to animals.

“If KFC wants to take our money and use it to pay for sloppy practices that hurt animals, I say we send them a message that this is not going to happen,” says Sharpton.

The Rev. Al Sharpton is just one of the many celebrities who have joined PETA’s Kentucky Fried Cruelty campaign. You can join, too, by pledging to boycott KFC in every country except Canada.

Note: PETA ended the boycott against KFC in Canada because most Canadian KFCs have agreed to a comprehensive animal welfare plan, but the boycott against KFC in the rest of the world continues.
