Carrie Ann Inaba of ‘Dancing With the Stars’ in Sexy PETA Ad
When you tune in to Dancing With the Stars, you can’t help but be smitten with everyone’s favorite judge, Carrie Ann Inaba—and with good reason. She’s vivacious and sweet, and she never berates the contestants with put-downs or nasty comments. You can just tell that she’s got a heart of gold.
So naturally, we weren’t the least bit surprised when we learned that all of Carrie Ann’s kitty companions are rescues and that she is a strong advocate for spaying and neutering. We knew right then and there that she was the perfect person to pose for PETA’s animal birth control (ABC) ad. She and her adorable rescued kitty Shadow appear in our gorgeous ad beside the tagline “Don’t Miss a Step: Spay or Neuter Today!”
Watch Carrie Ann’s exclusive interview behind the scenes of her PETA photo shoot, and learn why she thinks that ending companion animal overpopulation is as easy as ABC.
In the U.S. alone, more than 7 million unwanted dogs and cats are turned in to animal shelters every year, and almost half of these animals will be euthanized because there aren’t enough good homes for them. But this doesn’t have to be the case. If everyone did their part by always spaying and neutering their animal companions and refusing to buy animals from pet stores and breeders, we could put an end to animal homelessness. It’s as easy as ABC—animal birth control!
Carrie Ann understands the importance of spaying and neutering cats and dogs to help solve the companion animal overpopulation crisis. “First of all, it’s really important to spay and neuter your pets because there are so many,” she told us. “And what’s so sad is that people are breeding them, and then we’re putting them to sleep… [W]e’re breeding ones that are never going to be loved, and why do it in the first place?”
Please join Carrie Ann by pledging to help end animal homelessness.
