Discover ‘A Whole New World’ With a Vegan Lifestyle
“[I’m vegan] not only … for my own health, but I do it for my love of animals. I think it’s really important to think about their well-being. And I think it’s really cool to say that no animals were harmed in the making of my meal.”
—Aubrey Miller
As Aubrey shows, not only is keeping cruelty off your plate good for you, it’s also great for animals. By going vegan, you can save nearly 200 animals each year. In the U.S., countless chickens, pigs, and cows are kept on factory farms and forced to lead miserable lives in cramped, extremely filthy conditions.
Opting for a vegan lifestyle does wonders for your health, too. While eating animal “products” can lead to heart disease, hypertension, cancer, and other serious medical conditions, going vegan can help you feel more energetic and keep cholesterol and saturated animal fat at bay. Plus, you don’t have to rely on the bare necessities when deciding what to eat, because eating vegan is now tastier and easier than ever!
So the next time you’re at Disneyland or Disney California Adventure Park, remember these tips:
- Ask your chef or server if your meal is vegan. While Disneyland offers loads of vegan options, the daily selection can vary. Sometimes, a meal that was prepared as a vegan dish one day can contain an animal “product” the next. Don’t hesitate to ask whether all the ingredients in your order are vegan.
- Always request that your meals be made vegan. Servers will be happy to accommodate your dietary preferences.
- Refer to our full guide to eating vegan at Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park.
“[Being vegan is] such an awesome lifestyle choice. … It’s just a great feeling to know how healthy your body is and how much you’re helping the animals.”
