Calling All Passionate Artists to Submit Their Best Mural Ideas
Are you an artist with a strong passion for animal rights? PETA’s National Mural Arts Program unites artists and communities through a collaborative process to transform public spaces and raise awareness of animal rights issues with colorful and powerful messages that will sweep the nation. PETA will work with artists to find the best wall space in their city to showcase their compassionate designs. If you’re a talented artist who has experience with creating murals, fill out the form below for your chance to paint a fully funded mural in your city!
Proposal and Design Guidelines
- Designs must relate to animal rights and/or vegan living with a colorful and positive message.
- Both abstract and realistic designs are welcome.
- Designs cannot include political or religious content, any breach of intellectual property, trademarks, images of illegal activity, advertisements, logos, or signage.
- All designs will be subject to review and approval by PETA, property owners, neighborhood councils, and city officials.
- Chosen artists will receive full funding for mural supplies (house paint, paintbrushes, spray paint, ladder and cherry lift rentals, etc.) and a small compensation for their time. The artists will be promoted to local media, through PETA’s social media, and on PETA.org.
PETA will consider four factors in choosing artists:
- Your innovative and unique mural design proposals
- Your experience with creating murals and involvement with community arts
- Your enthusiasm for animal rights in your submission statement
- PETA’s assessment of the quality of the portfolio work displayed on your website and/or social media platforms
