The 2011 Cutest Mutt Alive Finalists

It was tough job, but after reviewing more than 650 entries, we’ve narrowed down the field to 10 adorable finalists. These “pound pups,” “shelter dogs,” and “mutts” stole our judges’ hearts with their adorable photos and their touching rescue stories.

Without further ado, we present to you our 2011 Cutest Mutt Alive finalists:

Mutt: Bella
Location: Colorado Springs, Colorado
Bella’s guardians claim that she is one of a kind and that their lives would not be the same without her.

Mutt: Blue
Location: Norton, Massachusetts
Some people say they adopted their dogs, but Blue’s family is convinced that he adopted them.

Mutt: Bo
Location: Shoreline, Washington
It was love at first site when Bo’s guardian stumbled across his PetFinder.com profile, and now she affectionately refers to him as her polka-dotted monster.

Mutt: Lani
Location: Brooklyn, New York
Lani loves to make friends in the park during the day and cuddle up with her mama at night.

Mutt: Lucy
Location: Evanston, Illinois
Lucy was the last of her littermates to be adopted from the local shelter, but when her family met her for the first time, they knew she was the dog for them.

Mutt: Muffin
Location: Phoenix, Arizona
Muffin was abandoned on the side of a busy highway before she was rescued and taken to a shelter, where her mom adopted her!

Mutt: Nina
Location: Atlanta, Georgia
After a rough start, Nina is now living the good life with all the fresh water and food she wants, long and frequent walks, and plenty of playtime with her family.

Mutt: Rocco
Location: East Greenwich, Rhode Island
Rocco is very cute and constantly makes his family laugh with his incredible vocal range.

Mutt: Sofie
Location: Arnold, Maryland
Sofie’s parents are proud of that grin and say she has the perfect smile could make anyone fall in love with her in an instant!

Mutt: Trixie
Location: Colleyville, Texas
Trixie is described by her guardians as being loving, protective, and a very smart dog.
