November 2014 After PETA filed numerous complaints with Nye County officials, big-cat abuser Karl Mitchell—who has been operating illegally for more than a decade—has been ordered to remove all the big cats he has been keeping from Nye County, Nevada. The court’s decision specified that the removal should be undertaken “immediately.”

October 2014 After hearing from PETA, the agency agreed never to host big-cat exploiter Dirk Arthur again. Arthur has a long history of violating the Animal Welfare Act, including an incident in which he kept the animals in metal cages with no protection from the scorching sun when temperatures reached 127 degrees.
