Who can we thank for the vegEMOJI app, Vegenaise, and the all-new VeganEgg? PETA’s 2015 Company of the Year: Follow Your Heart.

Los Angeles–based Follow Your Heart has been a 100 percent vegan company since June 2014, when it made all its salad dressings dairy-free. It’s also the creator of Vegenaise (a dairy-free mayonnaise that is the stuff of vegan legend) as well as loads of other tasty plant-based spreads and cheeses. And the company, together with Lil B, created the vegEMOJI app to help spread positive vegan messages through texts and social media.

But Follow Your Heart outdid itself this year with the introduction of the revolutionary VeganEgg. This fool-your-taste-buds plant-based egg can replace hens’ eggs in everything from baked goods to omelets and can even be served up scrambled.

Follow Your Heart's VeganEgg

With the ongoing avian flu outbreak that has wiped out at least 30 million birds and driven egg prices through the roof, there has never been a better time for people to lay eggs down. And the VeganEgg is ready to help them do just that.

Follow Your Heart is in great company: Previous recipients of PETA’s award include Beyond Meat and biotech firm Emulate, which created organs-on-chips technology.

Congratulations, Follow Your Heart!
