Shop Compassionately at PETA’s First Annual Summer Kind Market
Get ready to shop, explore, and get great deals from Los Angeles’ best vegan companies at PETA’s Summer Kind Market! On July 22 and 23, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., PETA will host its first annual Summer Kind Market, a fun and exciting ethical shopping event featuring dozens of vegan and cruelty-free vendors from around L.A. The buzzworthy event, held at PETA’s Empathy Center, will serve as a can’t-miss showcase for top purveyors of compassionate fashion and delicious vegan food, as well as cruelty-free health and beauty goods, companion animal–care supplies, home decor, and so much more. We know it sounds too good to be true, but it’s real! Here’s an exclusive sneak peek at the epic lineup:
36 Chambers
The edgy style of this popular clothing and accessory brand, founded by Wu-Tang Clan member and PETA-supporter RZA, combines classic menswear looks with unexpected details. Pulling inspiration from hip-hop, high fashion, and Chinese culture, each piece in this all-vegan collection will bring unmatched style to your compassionate wardrobe.
Bare Bones Body
This cruelty-free body-care brand will be bringing some of its most popular goods, including tattoo balm, moisturizers, face and body oils, deodorant, and more—all made from natural, nontoxic, and vegan ingredients.
Bead & Reel
Ethical vegan fashion house Bead & Reel joined PETA for our Holiday Kind Market and will be returning with an assortment of summer must-haves for this season’s event. The boutique offers clothes, accessories, and jewelry with a focus on ethics, sustainability, and quality.
Beetchup
It’s like ketchup, but it’s made from beets! Beetchup’s first-of-its-kind condiment is healthy, innovative, and here just in time for summer grilling. Get ready to discover your new favorite topping for EVERYTHING.
Clover Juice
This family-owned juice company offers locally pressed juice made fresh each day. With unique flavors such as Charcoal Chia, Gingersnap, and Veg’d, Clover juices are all vegan and packed with flavor and nutrition. Best of all, Clover will be offering an exciting giveaway retailing $75, so be sure to follow PETA’s instagram account for details, even if you can’t make it to the market.
Donut Farm
Everyone loves doughnuts, and when those treats are vegan, PETA loves them, too. Donut Farm offers a wide variety of flavors such as Matcha Green Tea, Lemon Poppyseed, Blueberry, Coconut Whiteout, and so many more -which will be available to satisfy every shopper’s sweet tooth.
Erva Yerba Mate
Nothing beats a cold drink on a hot day, and Erva is here to help. Using the natural energizing qualities of yerba mate, this is a different kind of energy drink.
Gaffer&Child
This Los Angeles–based brand makes organic, plant-derived skin-care essentials using sustainably sourced ingredients. With locations in Los Angeles and New York City, as well as an online store, MooShoes has become a household name in vegan footwear and accessories. Featuring many popular vegan shoe brands—as well as its own EU-made house brand—this retailer is a mecca for stylish vegans.
Plant Food for People
Summer is the unofficial season of tacos, and Plant Food for People will be parked just outside the Kind Market, serving its famous jackfruit tacos, nachos, and hearty tortas. With so many delicious options (all of which are vegan), you might want to try one of everything!
Sage Larock
This sexy and trendy Los Angeles–based sustainable luxury fashion brand will be bringing its chic and seasonally appropriate swimwear and apparel styles to the Summer Kind Market. Make a splash with a matching set, or mix colors and patterns for a beach look that’s uniquely yours.
Vromage
Vegan cheese shop Vromage has developed a reputation for producing countless varieties of soft cheese made from cultured pine nut, macadamia, and cashew milks and flavored with spices and herbs. Owner Youssef Fahouri has gained worldwide acclaim for dairy-free offerings that have been known to fool (and thrill) even nonvegan cheese enthusiasts.
