Conor McGregor Vowed to Feast on Vegan Nate Diaz … We Saw How That Went

After all of Conor McGregor’s jaw-flapping about how “soft” Nate Diaz is, today carnivore McGregor is probably still feeling Diaz’s plant-powered punches.

Undefeated in the UFC, McGregor was favored to win Saturday’s UFC 196 main event showdown. And he was full of fighting words about Diaz:

  • “I’m a lion in there and I’m going to eat you alive. Your little gazelle friends are going to be looking through the cage watching your carcass getting eaten alive and all they’re going to say is, ‘we’re never crossing this river again.’”
  • “People run scared all the time. I’ve hunted him down, I’ve stalked him. And on Saturday night I will eat his carcass in front of all his gazelle friends.”
  • “[H]e coaches kids’ jiu jitsu on a Sunday morning and goes on bike rides with the elderly.”

That is, of course, until Diaz kicked McGregor’s asparagus.

Diaz showed class after his win, thanking McGregor and a host of Diaz supporters, including vegetarian fighter and PETA friend Jake Shields. Seems like there’s a lot to be said for guys whose hearts match their biceps.
