Call It ‘The Beyoncé Effect’: Hip-Hop Goes Vegan
Jermaine Dupri and Pleasure Ellis have joined the ranks of Russell Simmons, Yasiin Bey (Mos Def), André 3000, Masta Killa, cleanse fans Jay-Z and Beyoncé, and many other members of the hip-hop community who have fallen for plant foods. Jermaine, who quietly went vegan a few years ago, has been filling up Instagram with pictures of tasty vegan dishes, such as “chicken” nuggets, vegan mac ‘n’ cheese, spicy kale salad, and zucchini cornbread.
And Pleasure has been busy encouraging his fans to follow suit:
