Tell West Coast Game Park: Animals Deserve Better!

West Coast Game Park Safari in Bandon, Oregon, has a history of flouting federal regulations—endangering the public and playing games with animals’ lives. This roadside zoo exploited a yearling brown bear and a juvenile jaguar in cruel public encounters, in violation of the federal Animal Welfare Act. The jaguar photo ops also violated the Big Cat Public Safety Act, which prohibits public contact with big cats. Representatives from the roadside zoo even lied to federal inspectors and said the cub-petting encounters hadn’t taken place after the bill passed, despite photographic proof to the contrary!

West Coast Game Park Safari has also confined chimpanzees to a small enclosure for years. One chimpanzee named George was dumped at the roadside zoo after he grew too large to be used for media productions. At an accredited sanctuary, George could thrive in a large, naturalistic habitat and have the opportunity to interact with more chimpanzees and would never again be exploited as a roadside attraction.

Please urge West Coast Game Park Safari to end its cruel public encounters and make a plan to send the chimpanzees and other animals to reputable facilities where they could live in vast, lush habitats and get the care they deserve.
