Where are PETA’s offices located?
We have three offices:
- Los Angeles
- Norfolk, Virginia (our headquarters, the Sam Simon Center)
- Washington, D.C.

Does PETA/FSAP offer telecommuting (work from home) career opportunities?
From time to time, we offer telecommuting opportunities. Positions available for telecommuting are clearly marked on the jobs page.
There is not an office in my state, so how can I get active with PETA?
Can’t work for PETA or FSAP just yet? No need to worry, as you can start getting active for animals immediately, including by forming a local animal rights group or by joining PETA’s Action (“A”) Team. The A-Team website also contains many resources for grassroots activists, including ways to contact our activist liaisons, who can help you with your local efforts.
What are the requirements for working for PETA/FSAP?
Requirements for working for PETA/FSAP vary by position. It’s best to visit the jobs page, select the position that’s of interest to you, and view its complete list of job requirements and responsibilities.
Do I have to be a U.S. citizen to work for PETA/FSAP?
In order to work for PETA/FSAP, you need to be a U.S. citizen or have a work permit authorizing you to work in the U.S. However, we cannot assist you in obtaining one. You must obtain it independently.
Do you have any part-time positions?
It’s rare that we have part-time opportunities. Please visit the jobs page regularly to view all opportunities.
Do I have to be vegetarian or vegan to work for PETA/FSAP?
Some of our positions do require you to be vegan (e.g., all positions related to campaigns, fundraising and development, and media spokespeople). However, many roles do not require this. We look for compassionate people to work for the organization.
How do I apply for a job?
To apply for a position with PETA/FSAP, view the job description for the position and click “Apply” at the bottom of the page. You’ll be directed to an online application. Please complete all fields and attach your cover letter and résumé or paste them into the application.
Once I have completed the interview process, when can I expect to hear whether I’ve been offered the job?
You will receive our decision within 10 business days of your interview.
Does PETA/FSAP pay relocation costs for new employees?
No, we do not pay relocation costs. However, if space permits, we do offer relocating staff members up to three weeks of temporary housing in Norfolk, Virginia.
