Meet PETA’s Executive Board
Ingrid E. Newkirk is the cofounder and president of People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals, the largest animal rights organization in the world. She has spoken internationally on animal rights issues, from the steps of the Canadian Parliament to the streets of New Delhi, India, where she spent her childhood.
Mike Rodman was PETA’s HR Director for 7 years until the organization moved to Norfolk, VA, from Washington, D.C. in 1996. He then went on to become the HR Director of Greenpeace USA for a decade before becoming an HR executive at the World Health Organization, a position he retired from 3 years ago.
Jeanne Roush started PETA’s Investigations Department in 1986 (which includes our undercover work) and then became PETA’s Executive Director in 1993, a position she held until our move to Norfolk. Since that time, she has worked at a health-related social services agency in suburban, VA, outside Washington, D.C.
