Campaign Coordinator (PETA Australia)
Position Objective:
- To be a clever, trustworthy and highly organised multitasker
- To manage and coordinate volunteers, members, celebrities and the media in order to bring attention to animal rights issues across the country

Reports to:
Managing Director of PETA Australia
Primary Responsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and manage cutting-edge campaigns against animal abuse
- Manage an agenda of celebrity events, protests and other campaign issues
- Organise and maintain media and celebrity databases
- Coordinate the production and maintenance of a campaigns website for PETA Australia
- Work with volunteers
- Review news releases
- Help create ad campaigns and other materials
- Develop ideas to increase activist and celebrity involvement in animal issues
- Contribute to and oversee the writing and production of printed materials
- Organise demonstrations and assist with photo shoots, as needed
- Conduct media interviews and direct media calls to the appropriate person
- Coordinate and delegate tasks
- Travel for meetings, events or other activities, as needed
- Perform any other duties assigned by the managing director
Qualifications:
- Sincere interest in helping to abate cruelty to animals
- Proven thorough knowledge of animal rights issues
- Computer proficiency
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Must be trustworthy, reliable and patient
- Must be an excellent communicator who can deal with the public and co-workers in a team environment and alone
- Outgoing and personable manner
- Ability to multitask and take initiative
- Ability and willingness to travel, as needed
- Adherence to a vegetarian lifestyle
- Supportive position vis-à-vis PETA Australia’s philosophy and the ability to professionally advocate PETA Australia’s positions
- Commitment to the objectives of the organisation
