USDA Issues Advisory Effectively Ending Big-Cat Cub Petting During Pandemic
After PETA appealed to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) regarding the serious health hazards involved in big-cat cub-petting events now that the novel coronavirus has been found in captive big cats, the USDA announced that it would issue an advisory note recommending, in part, that exhibitors encourage members of the public to keep at least 6 feet away from big cats, which, if followed, will effectively end all big-cat cub-petting events during the pandemic.
