Netherlands Vows to End Vivisection Nationwide, Calls On PETA for Scientific Expertise

Early in September, PETA UK’s science policy adviser attended a meeting at The Hague with government officials to discuss a preliminary plan, and we were then asked to submit a written strategy for the phase-out. Our scientists submitted an extensive dossier of information to guide the Dutch government’s transition to animal-free testing, beginning with a halt to all animal experiments that can be ended immediately.
