Another Circus Goes Animal-Free After Hearing From 50K+ PETA Supporters

Following requests made by more than 50,000 PETA supporters, Mysterious Circus has confirmed that it has gone animal-free. The venue sparked outrage last year when it used an elephant named Okha in its lineup of spectacles. Okha—who was supplied by Brian Franzen, a disgraced exhibitor whose violent history toward animals includes striking an elephant in the face repeatedly—is a geriatric elephant. She was stolen from her family and her natural home in the seventies and has been forced into sideshow performances ever since. Join us in celebrating Mysterious Circus’s confirmation to provide animal-free entertainment by urging Brian Franzen to retire Okha and the other animals in his care to accredited sanctuaries.
