Cruel Traps Reportedly Threaten Rodents at NYC Grocery Store!
PETA has received an urgent report that Gristedes, a supermarket chain in New York City, has deployed glue traps throughout its store on Eighth Avenue in an attempt to target mice and rats. Glue traps cause immense suffering, as panicked victims struggle mightily, tearing their flesh and even chewing off their own limbs in their frantic attempts to escape. These sadistic devices are also hideously indiscriminate, posing risks to many nontarget animals, including protected species.
PETA implored Gristedes to remove these traps immediately in order to prevent animals from becoming ensnared—but to no avail. Now it’s your turn! Please politely urge Gristedes CEO John Catsimatidis as well as the chain’s parent company, Red Apple Group, to destroy and dispose of the traps—then forward this alert to everyone you know.
