USDA Permanently Revokes The Camel Farm’s Federal Exhibitor’s License

PETA’s tireless efforts have paid off: The Camel Farm’s federal exhibitor’s license has been permanently revoked by the USDA! PETA has been urging the agency not to renew the facility’s license since 2017, when it filed a lawsuit challenging the automatic renewal of the Animal Welfare Act license. The Arizona roadside zoo can never again be licensed by the USDA, and if it violates the AWA within the next two years, it will be forced to pay a $126,000 penalty for its nearly 50 alleged past violations of the act—including for failing to provide numerous sick or injured animals with adequate (and in some cases any) veterinary care.
