USDA Suspends Jeff Lowe’s Exhibitor’s License, Files Administrative Lawsuit

On August 17, 2020, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) suspended Jeff Lowe’s federal Animal Welfare Act (AWA) exhibitor’s license for 21 days. That same day, the USDA filed an enforcement action against Lowe and his wife, Lauren, alleging numerous AWA violations between 2015 and 2020. The agency is seeking civil penalties and the permanent revocation of Lowe’s license. These actions came after the USDA halted its inspection of The Greater Wynnewood Exotic Animal Park in June and ordered Lowe to seek immediate veterinary care for Nala, a sick lion at the facility.
