On Valentine’s Day, PETA members and a “chicken” will pass out free samples of Beyond Fried Chicken outside the KFC on Rosa L. Parks Boulevard to promote the fast-food chain’s new animal-free option, which is now available at nearly 100 stores and sold out in just five hours when it debuted in Atlanta.

When:    Friday, February 14, 12 noon

Where:    1027 Rosa L. Parks Blvd. (near the intersection with Jefferson Street), Nashville

“This crispy vegan delight is a delicious way for everyone to show animals a little love through their food choices,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “PETA encourages diners to have a heart for chickens by opting for the finger-lickin’ vegan chicken this Valentine’s Day.”

Each person who goes vegan spares nearly 200 animals a year daily suffering and a terrifying death in today’s meat industry—and vegans help combat climate change and deforestation, as more than 80% of the Amazon rainforest that’s been cleared since 1970 is used for meat production.

PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—opposes speciesism, which is a human-supremacist worldview. For more information, please visit PETA.org.
