They’re Vegan, of Course! PETA and Vancouver Vegan Resource Centre Group to Give Away A&W’s New Lightlife Nuggets

During the Monday lunch rush—and because A&W just started offering vegan chicken nuggets on a trial basis in addition to already offering the Beyond Burger nationwide—members of PETA and the Vancouver Vegan Resource Centre Group will pass out the nuggets outside the A&W on W. Broadway to promote the new animal-free option.

“These dunkable delights outshine boring old chicken nuggets in every way,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “PETA says ‘dig in’ to diners and urges A&W to make these delicious vegan nuggets a menu mainstay, just as it’s done with the popular Beyond Burger.”
Each person who goes vegan spares nearly 200 animals a year daily suffering and a terrifying death in today’s meat industry—and they help combat climate change and deforestation, as more than 80% of the Amazon rainforest that’s been cleared since 1970 is used for meat production.
