Prada Bans Fur
After more than a decade of PETA-led protests, runway takeovers, in-person meetings, and pressure from supporters, Prada announced that it’s joining the fur-free movement to meet the demand for ethical fashion. The brand joins hundreds of designers and retailers—including Coach, Burberry, Gucci, Versace, and Giorgio Armani—that we’ve pushed to ban fur, most of which comes from animals who spend their entire lives inside filthy, cramped wire cages before being electrocuted, bludgeoned, suffocated, or even skinned alive.
