“[I]f you’re like me, you’re eating way less meat (or none at all!),” begins Amanda Cerny in her new PETA video. “So, what are you supposed to do with all the extra meat you’ve got lying around?”
She gives her solution in “Use Meat for Everything,” an infomercial-style video in which the vegan internet superstar and former Playboy model demonstrates household uses for chemical-laden meat products, such as ground beef (it’s treated with ammonia, so clean your windows with it), chicken parts (they’re doused in a chlorine bath, so throw them in the pool), and shrimp (which are dipped in bleaching powder, so they’re perfect for removing stains).
“[D]on’t stop here!” Cerny concludes. “Imagine what YOU can do with meat. Just, for f***’s sake, don’t eat it.”
PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—notes that, in addition to being laced with contaminants, meat is loaded with saturated animal fat and cholesterol. Going vegan spares more than 100 animals a year daily suffering and a terrifying death, and it reduces your risk of suffering from heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and cancer.
Cerny is part of a long list of celebrities—including Noah Cyrus, Hayes Grier, Jordyn Jones, Kalel, Kesha, P!nk, Madelaine Petsch, Skylar Stecker, and many others—who have teamed up with PETA or its affiliates to promote kindness to animals.
