What: Wearing little more than sexy underwear and bearing heart-shaped signs that read, “Vegans Make Better Lovers,” two PETA supporters will make out in a bed outside the meat-heavy Nate’s Deli on Tuesday, the day before Valentine’s Day. The sexy duo will remind those eager to please their partners that eating meat can put a damper on bedroom time—by reducing blood flow to all the body’s organs.
When: Tuesday, February 13, 12 noon
Where: Outside Nate’s Deli, on the southeast corner of Sparks and O’Connor streets, Ottawa
“What goes on in the kitchen has a lot to do with what goes on—or doesn’t—in the bedroom,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “PETA’s message is that whether you’re after a sizzling physique or an increase in stamina, going vegan is a great way to boost performance.”
PETA, whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat,” notes that meat-eaters have higher rates of suffering from heart disease, strokes, diabetes, obesity, and cancer—not to mention impotence—than vegans do. And each person who goes vegan saves more than 100 animals a year from daily suffering and a terrifying death in today’s meat, egg, and dairy industries.
