Will Super Bowl Stadium Receive Vegan Wings for Game Day?

Today, PETA is offering to send 1,000 vegan chicken wings from Minneapolis-based Herbivorous Butcher—the first all-vegan butcher in the country—to U.S. Bank Stadium for Super Bowl LII.
In the offer letter, PETA—whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”—notes that the custom-made cruelty-free wings would hit the spot for hungry fans, stadium staff, and even the coaches and players, especially New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who trains vegan.
“Football fans ate over 300 million dead birds during last year’s Super Bowl,” says PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. “PETA’s offer to donate 1,000 delicious flesh-free wings will hopefully go a long way in turning football fans’ meaty mouths vegan.”

Dear Mr. Talty,
The odds that the first all-vegan butcher shop in the U.S. would be located in Minneapolis are about as long as those of Tom Brady getting a safety on the opening drive of the Super Bowl. Yet that’s exactly where the Herbivorous Butcher is producing game-changing meat-free selections, including beer “brats,” Italian “sausages,” Sriracha “brats,” Cuban “pork,” and hickory “bacon”—and making vegan wings especially for the Super Bowl.
PETA and the Herbivorous Butcher would like to provide you with 1,000 of these fabulous vegan chicken wings—which didn’t cost any birds their limbs—for Super Bowl LII. They can be enjoyed by hungry fans, stadium staff, and even the coaches and players—Brady eats vegan, so we’ll be sure to set some aside for him personally.
