9 #VeganRamadan Instagram Photos That Will Make You Drool

When we heard that Muslims on social media have been connecting with each other using the hashtag #VeganRamadan—shout-out to BuzzFeed—we, of course, had to check it out. We weren’t surprised to discover that Ramadan and vegan eating work harmoniously together, but we were certainly delighted.

According to this article, Muslims fast during Ramadan to “remind them of the suffering of those less fortunate.” Animals who are abused and killed for food suffer immensely, and eating vegan is the best gift that anyone could offer them.

Ramadan ends tomorrow. To celebrate, we’ve rounded up nine of our favorite #VeganRamadan Instagram photos. Try not to drool too much!

1. No cheese was used in the making of this kunafa:

2. Lentils, rice, and fried onions? We’re all in.

3. When Greek yogurt isn’t vegan, make your own.

4. Even more proof that jackfruit makes everything better:

7. Because chia seeds are delicious in almost anything:

@healthygirlkitchen

this RASPBERRY CHIA PUDDING is a game changer for digestion (meal prep breakfast!)đŸ“đŸ’©âœš! #SiggisPartner ingredients: 2 cups frozen raspberries 2 cups almond milk 3 tbsp maple syrup 3/4 cup chia seeds 2 cups @siggisdairy plant-based yogurt how to: 1. Blend raspberries, almond milk and maple syrup in a blender until smooth. 2. Pour into a large meal prep container then add chia seeds and yogurt. Mix well. 3. Refrigerate overnight and enjoy for up to 4-5 days! It’s so hard to find plant-based yogurt thats a good source of protein AND calcium, that’s why I am obsessed with Siggi’s. I buy the one that only has 4 grams of sugar and I get mine at Whole Foods. Also – it’s THICK + creamy which makes it sooo beyond yummy. #breakfastideas #digestion #healthyrecipes
