The classic runway question— “Who are you wearing?” —makes a lot of sense when so many celebrities choose to wear animal-derived materials such as silk, leather, cashmere, and wool on the red carpet. Thankfully, compassionate stars such as R&B singer Mýa and fashion blogger Manou brought luxurious vegan fashion to the 2017 Grammy Awards.
Vegan celebrity Mýa shone in a head-to-toe cruelty-free ensemble. Her custom red suit by Teodora Burz of STYLAND coordinated seamlessly with a bodysuit by Bao Tranchi. Her smoky eye and flawless vegan makeup look were courtesy of Hourglass, and her vegan pumps were from JustFab.com.
For a cruelty-free runway gown, former Disney artist Manou collaborated with PETA’s stylists. She selected a sleek black, high-necked gown by Madison James.
With so many top designers making the logical choice to say goodbye to animal skins and fur, there’s no doubt that the 2018 Grammys will feature even more celebs wearing vegan gowns, suits, and accessories.
Whether you watched the awards or not, here’s a recap of the PETA friends who were nominated.
