Mondelēz International Adds Support for Polled Breeding

After ongoing talks with PETA, Mondelēz International set a new animal-welfare policy stating that it supports “the use of polled [hornless] genetics breeding programs that eliminate the need for de-horning.” Mondelēz’s brands include Cadbury, Nabisco, Oreo, and many European brands. The company does about $30 billion in annual sales and operates and markets in about 165 countries.
