Decked out in a star-spangled bikini and top hat, Courtney Stodden appears as a sexy Uncle Sam in a new PETA poster that proclaims, “I Want YOU … to Go Vegan. Join the Animals’ Party!” PETA has placed the ad on bus shelters all along the presidential inauguration parade route as well as along the walking route to the parade from several Metro stations, including Federal Triangle, Gallery Place–Chinatown, Judiciary Square, Metro Center, and Union Station.

“Whether you’re kicking up your heels or wallowing in despair over the election, you can love PETA’s Animals’ Party,” says Stodden. “PETA and I encourage everyone to start 2017 off right by going vegan, getting healthy, and saving animals’ lives.”

There are plenty of reasons to join the Animals’ Party. On average, vegans are significantly leaner than meat-eaters are, and they’re less prone to suffering from heart disease, strokes, diabetes, cancer, and obesity. In addition to sparing animals daily suffering and a terrifying death, vegan meals are also greener, as animal agriculture is a major producer of the greenhouse-gas emissions that contribute to climate change.

Stodden is part of a long list of celebrities—including Pamela Anderson, Maggie Q, Joaquin Phoenix, Bellamy Young, Joan Jett, and many more—who have teamed up with PETA (whose motto reads, in part, that “animals are not ours to eat”) to promote healthy, humane, meat-free meals.
