Washington, D.C., Adopts Dissection-Choice Policy

Following a request from PETA, Washington, D.C., Public Schools adopted a progressive dissection-choice policy that allows compassionate students to opt out of cruel classroom animal dissection and to learn using modern computer software and other humane methods instead. Washington, D.C., joins many districts around the country and 15 states—including neighboring Virginia—that already have similar policies.
