If Human Actors Were Treated Like Animal Performers
Jason Biggs has shown PETA that he knows how to make a point—and he’s back with a message concerning animal performers that’s loud and clear. In a video for PETA, Jason (as “the elephant”) and his wife, Jenny Mollen (as “the main tiger”), point out that circuses are no place for animals.
Jason and Jenny were disgusted when they learned the truth about circus cruelty. In this funny but important video, they draw the comparison between human entertainers who choose to perform and animals who are forced to endure a lifetime of abuse and loneliness at the hands of the circus:
Ringling plans to send all the elephants it holds captive to its Center for Elephant Conservation (CEC). Despite its fancy-sounding name, the CEC is nothing more than a breeding compound where elephants will be denied any semblance of a normal life. They will still live in fear of being hit with bullhooks—and not one elephant at the CEC will ever step foot in the wild.
What You Can Do
Tell Ringling to end all animal acts and send the animals to accredited sanctuaries—not ones where they will be chained most of the time.
