Which 2016 Grammy Nominees Love Animals?
With the Grammy Awards on tap for this weekend, we wanted to wish PETA’s nominated friends the best of luck!
Mark Ronson has been nominated for the infectious “Uptown Funk” in the categories of Record of the Year; Best Pop Duo/Group Performance; Best Pop Vocal Album; Producer of the Year, Non-Classical; and Best Remixed Recording, Non-Classical.
Seth MacFarlane—best known for his comedies, like Family Guy and Ted—is also an accomplished crooner and has been nominated for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for No One Ever Tells You.
Emmylou Harris, whose voice and writing are timeless, has been nominated for The Traveling Kind in the category of Best Americana Album, and the album’s title track has also been nominated in the Best American Roots Song category.
Legendary rocker Paul McCartney is up for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance with Kanye West for his collaboration on “All Day.”
But we can’t forget PETA’s other friends who have shared their love for animals. We are forever grateful for Grammy nominees and winners—past, present, and future—who have helped with PETA’s work for animals, including P!nk, The Black Keys, Sia,
Moby, Russell Simmons, RZA, Masta Killa, and Geezer Butler, to name just a few!
What You Can Do
Help protect animals from extremes in temperature through PETA’s “Angels for Animals” program, a unique outreach project in which PETA staffers and volunteers actively seek out vulnerable animals on a daily basis and provide them with food, water, shelter, toys, treats, spay/neuter surgeries, emergency veterinary care, and more.
