A dog named Sarah had been chained outside alone for years, slowly growing blind and deaf from untreated medical conditions. But PETA rescued her, gave her some much-needed veterinary care (which restored her sight and hearing!), and introduced her to her new adoptive family just over a week ago. She’ll now be able to spend Thanksgiving curled up in front of the fireplace with her new family—including two happy little girls and a new canine sister, Lola—instead of shivering alone in the cold.
PETA’s motto says, in part, that “animals are not ours to abuse in any way,” and all of the details of Sarah’s story are available on our blog.
