Despite the threat of cars whizzing past, the cows stayed put. They watched over their fallen friend, gently nudging him in an attempt to move or comfort him.

Cows are as diverse as cats, dogs, and people: Some are bold and adventurous, while others are shy and timid. Some are friendly and considerate, but others are bossy and devious. They mourn the deaths of and separation from those they love, even shedding tears over their loss. These cows were no different.

What You Can Do

Like all animals, cows value their lives and don’t want to die. The meat and dairy industries don’t view these intelligent animals as the individuals they are but merely as products. Help end the suffering of all cows by ditching dairy foods and meat.
